YSR UNVEILED THE STATUE OF PJR

Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today unveiled the statue of late Congress leader and Khairatabad MLA, P Janardhan Reddy at the Khairtabad crossroads on the occasion of the first death anniversary of the late leader.
The statue is said to be the tallest one in the State. Rich tributes were paid to Janardhan Reddy by Congress leaders including Chief Minister, APCC president D Srinivas, Union Minister for Urban Development S Jaipal Reddy, Union Minister of State for Defence Pallam Raju, ministers M Mukesh Goud, Mohd. Ali Shabbir, MPs N Janardhan Reddy, V Hanumantha Rao, Anjan Kumar Yadav, T Manemma, Marri Shashidhar Reddy and others.
Later, a public meeting was organised near People’s Plaza on the Necklace Road where the leaders hailed Janardhan Reddy as man of masses who stood for the welfare of poor and the downtrodden.
APCC president D Srinivas said the Congress party is proud to have such a mass leader who always worked for the poor irrespective of caste and religion without any selfish interest.
He wanted P Vishnuvardhan Reddy to follow the footsteps of his father and work for the welfare of the weaker sections. The Congress leaders will stand behind him and extend all help to him, he assured.
Jaipal Reddy said the Congress party workers should emulate Janardhan Reddy who rose from a ordinary party worker and went to become a Minister and an Opposition leader. He made selfless sacrifices to the party and worked for the welfare of the people.
He was instrumental in bringing Krishna water to Hyderabad, Jaipal Reddy said. Hanumantha Rao wanted all the Congress workers to shed their differences and work unitedly to bring Congress party back to power in the State.
