Congress MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, the son of late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, on Tuesday left the Chief Minister’s official residence and shifted to his family house in the city.

Jagan, as he is popularly known, shifted to the private residence in Banjara Hills in the morning. He had been staying at the Chief Minister’s camp office in Begumpet all these days.

Rajasekhara Reddy used to stay at the Banjara Hills residence before becoming chief minister and functioned for a

few months from there even after occupying the top post. He died in a plane crash in the Nallamala forest in Kurnool district.

His supporters organised a spirited campaign to anoint Jagan as the chief minister but the proposal was shot down by the Congress high command. Jagan is Lok Sabha member from his native Kadapa.
