Mr Nehru further said that he would officially join Jagan’s group at a programme with Mr Jagan, scheduled to be held in his native Assembly constituency, Jaggampeta in East Godavari on March 11.
A few other former leaders of the PR and followers of Y.S Jagan would also join Jagan’s group, he added. Speaking to reporters at a hotel here on Monday, Mr Nehru said that he was leaving the Praja Rajyam as he did not want to work under the Congress banner, and was keen on joining Jagan’s group only for fighting against the Congress and serving people. “My cadre has asked me to join Jagan’s group. hence I took the decision,” Mr Nehru said.
Meanwhile, sister of late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, Ms Vimala Reddy, at Achanta appealed to the people to support her nephew Y.S. Jagan and his new party.
