Lagadapati, Jagan followers come to blows

VIJAYAWADA: Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal is to issue notices to the Sakshi TV channel and Sakshi newspaper for ``broadcasting and publishing news against him which carried no truth’’.




This was revealed by the MP at a press conference held here on Friday after a clash between his followers and YSR Congress party workers during his visit to Mylavaram in the district.? According to the information received here, YSRC workers, irked by the MP’s adverse remarks against Jagan, obstructed his visit to Mylavaram. An annoyed Lagadapati shouted at the YSRC workers. This led to a brief clash between the two groups and caused bruises to members of both groups.



After his return from Mylavaram, he hold a press conference where he lashed out at Jagan and the malicious campaign taken up by his media group against him.



The Vijayawada MP said that he can start 100 TV channels and newspapers if he wanted to but he was committed to morals.? He said that he believed that no politician should enter the fourth estate.



Even YS Vijayamma, the widow of YSR, said at YSRC plenary that bad weather caused the crash of YSR’s helicopter, Rajagopal said and criticised that Jagan was still trying to gain from YSR’s image and was making his father’s death an issue.
