Jagan hits out at Congress

The YSR Congress chief and Kadapa Lok Sabha member, Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, praised the legislators, who were supporting him, saying that the MLAs, though their posts were at stake, had supported the no-trust motion moved by the Telugu Desam recently, with an intention to bring farmers’ issues to the notice of the state government.

Mr Jagan was on a tour to Mydukur mandal on Saturday.

Accompanied by YSR Congress constituency in-charge and former MLA, Mr S. Raghurami Reddy, he toured Bhumayapalli, Keshalingayapalli, Shett-yvaripalli, Chin-nayyagaripalli, and Yellampalli villages, and interacted with the farmers.

Giving an audience to the issues of farmers raising tomato and onions, Mr Jagan expressed anguish over their plight, and criticised the government for not helping the agriculture sector.

Predicting the fall of the Congress led government, he maintained that the people will teach them a fitting lesson.

He recalled on the occasion, that the MLAs, who were backing him, had voted in favour of the no-trust motion, as the government did not respond to the issues faced by the farmers such as drought and lack of support price to crops.

Farmers’ leaders, Mr Lekkala Venkat Reddy and Mr D.N. Narayana, said that the farmers were also hit by power cuts.

In Chinnayyagaripalli, Mr Jagan paid floral tributes to the statue of YSR.

The YSR Congress leaders, Messrs Katari Kris-hna, Vasu, Dhanapala Rav-indra, Yugandhar, E.V. Maheswar Reddy, Racha-mallu, Katari Veeranna, Gosetty Lakshmaiah, and Chenchu Ramaiah, were among others who accompanied Jagan.
