Congress To Project Ysr As `real’ Hero
HYDERABAD : While Telugu Desam Party and Praja Rajyam Party are proposing to use glamour of `cine heros’ for its election campaign, the Congress is now seems to be attempting to protect Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekahra Reddy as the `real’ hero against `cine’ heros. Having failed to rope some of familiar cine `hero’s into its fold, the Congress was left with no option but to project its own leaders. Union Minister of State for Health Panabaka Lakshmi, Ponnala Laxmaiah and AP Minister of Major Industries J Geeta Reddy said Chief Minister Rajasekhara Reddy was the real hero.
Speaking to newsmen in Sangareddy on Sunday, they said that the Chief Minister has implemented various welfare and development programmes in the State very effectively. They exuded confidence that Rajasekhara Reddy’s glamour alone will help the Congress get voted back to power.
Replying to a query on whether the Congress has plans to rope in the glamour of tinsel town for campaigning as star-turnedpolitician Chiranjeevi has floated a new party and the TDP has also been using film stars for electioneering, they said there was no need of cine glamour to their party
