It’ll be a cakewalk for Congress: YSR

It’ll be a cakewalk for Congress: YSR
Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy exuded confidence that the Congress would emphatically retain power in the State, bagging 230 Assembly and 36 Parliament seats.
Analysing the recent poll results in five States at the Cabinet meeting here today, Reddy noted that Congress had come very close to power in Madhya Pradesh while winning three other States.
He was particularly happy about the hat trick in Delhi.
Despite the ``misinformation campaign’’ launched by the Opposition and the false propaganda, people had voted Congress thanks to the image of the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and the good work done by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The chief minister was confident that the people in the State would be able to see through the evil designs of the Opposition and their alliances.
Speaking to mediapersons, I&PR minister Anam Narayana Reddy said as part of the Congress foundation celebrations on December 28, a one-crore human chain would be formed in which all ministers, legislators, Lok Sabha members and leaders of the Congress would participate.
January 2 to 15 would be celebrated as Welfare Fortnight with ministers and activists touring three mandals per day to campaign on various welfare schemes, the minister said.
