YSR wants Babu defeated in Kuppam
At the Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister expressed his intentions of defeating his bete noir Chandrababu Naidu in the latter’s bastion Kuppam in Chittoor district.
The Chief Minister wished Kuppam should become a waterloo in the next elections to Chandrababu Naidu. He said he was searching for a `strong candidate” to take Naidu and humble him at the hustings.
Kuppam constitutency had always been a pet seat for Chandrababu Naidu ever since he shifted from Chandragiri in 1989.
Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy wanted his Cabinet colleague and Chandragiri MLA Galla Aruna to take on Chandrababu Naidu.
Aruna retorted by saying Raghuveera would be the right choice since he would be losing Madakasira constituency which he represent in the delimitation.
This evoked peels of laughter in the meeting
