CBI joint director is a kin of TDP MLA: Viveka
Terming the CBI inquiry against his nephew and Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy as a big conspiracy, former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy has alleged that CBI joint director VV Lakshminarayana is related to TDP MLA Payyavula Kesav, and is corrupt.
Viveka, who went on a 45-km padayatra from Chinna Rangapala in Pulivendula mandal to YSR Ghat at Idupulapaya on Friday, paid tributes to his brother.
Talking to newsmen, he blamed TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for the probe.
‘’The CBI can give clean chit to a person or fix him,’’ he said.
Reddy said he was pained by the attempts to defame YSR, who brought the Congress to power twice, by branding him as a thief and corrupt.
“If the character assassination continues, there will be no need for me to remain in the Congress or maybe in politics,” he said.
When contacted, Lakshminarayana told Express that he did not know who Payyavula Kesav was.
‘’I do not have any relative by that name,’’ he clarified.
