No return to Congress: Sivaprasad

The YSR Congress leader and Darsi MLA, Mr Buchepalli Sivaprasad Reddy, demanded on Friday that the Speaker accept the resignations submitted by legislators supporting Jagan, objecting to the inclusion of YSR’s name in the CBI charge-sheet. Speaking to reporters at Darsi, he maintained that all MLAs supporting Jagan were under no pressure and had resigned voluntarily. He denied allegations of getting money from Jagan for the resignations.
Mr Sivaprasad Reddy alleged that some vernacular dailies were carrying on false propaganda against YSRC president and Kadapa MP, Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Terming the news of Jagan rejoining the Congress as baseless, Mr Sivaprasad Reddy clarified that the YSR Congress would form a new front in the state against the Congress, Telugu Desam and BJP but would never go with any of these three parties.
Referring to the bus yatra of Mr D.L. Ravindra Reddy against Jagan, Mr Sivaprasad Reddy commented that Mr Reddy had become insane due to his latest defeat at Kadapa hence was agitating against Jagan. The Darsi MLA said that Pulivendula MLA, Mrs Y.S. Vijayalakshmi, will lead the party if Jagan goes to jail in the ongoing CBI case. He added that YSRC would get huge support from people if the Congress puts Jagan in jail and predicted that their party would emerge as the single largest party in the Assembly.
Later, Mr Sivaprasad Reddy inspected water supply in the Sagar canal. Responding to the complaints of farmers about meagre water supply in the canal, he telephoned Sagar engineers who assured Mr Sivaprasad Reddy about increasing water supply in the next three days.
