CBI to evaluate Jagan’s Lotus pond bungalow



The Central Bureau of Investigation is likely to conduct an “evaluation exercise” of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bungalow at Lotus Pond in Jubilee Hills in a day or two. The CBI, which is investigating Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s business empire and the individuals and parties who have invested money in his ventures, has acquired the building plan approval files of the bungalow at Lotus Pond from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. Sources said that the CBI has now asked the officials of the town planning wing of the GHMC to accompany them when they evaluate the bungalow.

Also on the list of the evaluation exercise in a star-rated hotel at Banjara Hills, reportedly owned by Pratap Reddy of Penna Cements. Talking about Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bungalow, a senior official said that permission was sought for construction of four floors of the building and it was approved as per the rules. Sources said that though there are minor deviations from the sanctioned plan, there are no major violations.
