CBI summons Ys Jagan for illegal mining probe

The CBI on Wednesday issued summons to YSR Congress party president Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy to appear before the agency on November 4 for questioning in connection with the illegal mining case.

The case involves mining tycoon and former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy. Jagan, who is presently touring Guntur district as part of his Odarpu Yatra, will have to cut short his tour and present himself before the investigating authorities.

"We have asked Jagan to appear before us for questioning in connection with his business and personal links with Janardhan Reddy," CBI joint director V. V. Lakshminarayana said.
