YSR CALLS CONSTA VIGIL AT BHAINSA

Hyderabad, October 14: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has directed the police to keep a close watch on the situation at Bhainsa in Adilabad district where communal riots had taken about 10 lives.
The Chief Minister YSR , who left for New Delhi on Monday morning, asked senior police officials to constantly monitor the situation and deploy police including Rapid Action Forces in full strength wherever necessary. He wanted them not to allow anti-social elements take an upper hand and ensure that the guilty were brought to book.
The police should, at the same time, take steps to see that innocents were not made to suffer. Dr. Reddy said he would convene a meeting to review the situation after his return from New Delhi.Hidden agenda
Describing the incident at Vatoli where six members of a family including three children were burnt alive as “barbaric”, he said vested interests and anti-social elements who had some hidden agenda perpetrated the “senseless” act. Conveying his condolences to the members of the bereaved family, he said the Government would do whatever was necessary for them.
Dr. Reddy called upon the political parties not to politicise the incident. The parties were asked not to precipitate the situation or provoke the people. Instead, they should try to assuage the feelings of the people and cooperate with the Government in maintaining peace
