HYDERABAD: Condemning the Vatoli incident, in which six of a family were burnt to death, Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy said it was an inhuman and senseless act of some vested interests and anti-social elements who have some hidden agenda and gave assurance to bring the culprits to book.
Reddy, who is attending the National Integration Council meeting in New Delhi, telephoned top officials of police and asked them to keep a close watch on the situation at bhainsa. He directed the police officials to deploy more forces and strengthen the security at Bhainsa to avoid any untoward incidents.
Reddy said he will convene a highlevel meeting on the issue, soon after his return from New Delhi The Chief Minister spoke to top police officials of the State over telephone today and directed them to take stringent action against the accused.
He pointed out that no guilty should be allowed to escape. He also expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and assured to extend a helping hand to them. He said the State Government is making all efforts to restore peace in the locality.
YSR also asked the political parties not to politicise the incident and urged them to help the police restore normalcy in the locality. He warned the leaders against provoking the locals.
