CM to celebrate 58th birthday in Goa with family Hyderabad, July 4: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy will celebrate his 58th birthday in picturesque Goa on July 8.If the incoming results of the local bodies’ polls are any indication, he will be combining a self-congratulatory victory bash with the birthday bash in the land of beautiful beaches. Though he kept away from the campaign, Mr Rajasekhar Reddy was active behind the curtains, shaping the contours of the party’s electoral strategy. With the panchayat polls getting over, Mr Rajasekhar Reddy obviously wants to spend some quality time with his family in a pleasant locale.
Sources said that Mr Rajasekhar Reddy, who is in Delhi to take part in the chief ministers’ conclave, will return to Hyderabad on Wednesday. He will chair a cabinet meeting on July 7 and will leave for Goa soon after that. He will be accompanied by wife Vijayalaxmi, son Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, daughter-in-law Bharathi, daughter Sharmila, son-in-law Anil Kumar and grandchildren. It will be an ‘apolitical’ birthday celebration. “Only his family members will be with him,” said an aide. “No party leaders will be present.” The Chief Minister’s family will visit some of the famed churches in Goa during their two-day visit. Mr Rajasekhar Reddy celebrated his 57th birthday in Jerusalem when he was touring Israel to study its efficient agricultural practices. Recently he spent some time with his family in Jammu and Kashmir after attending the wedding of the son of Andhra Pradesh High Court judge Bilal Nazki.
